Soul Rebel Digest - October 2026

You know what to eat....

You just need to get your sh*t together πŸ‘€

Okay, now that I've got your attention 😜

Nutrition has had a wild ride over the decades. Low fat, low carb, fasting, 'clean' eating, superfoods, detoxes, macros - we've been given a LOT of noise to sift through.

So if nutrition feels more complicated than it should, there's a reason for that.

But that doesn't mean you can't turn the tables & take ownership for what happens next.

Because most of us probably don't need another Instagram post telling us that vegetables are good for us.

You know protein is important. You know fruit & veggies are good for you. You know drinking water & eating regular meals is generally a good idea.

The problem usually isn't knowing what to eat. It's actually doing it.

Maybe you don’t need a better diet?

Maybe you need a better system.

Knowing you should eat more protein is one thing. Having a protein-rich breakfast ready when you're running out the door at 6am is another.

Nutrition is a skill. Just like anything in the gym, it gets better with practice.

So rather than looking for another diet, start looking at where things fall apart in your day-to-day life.

If breakfast is always rushed β†’ find two breakfasts you can make in under 5 minutes.

If you never organise lunch β†’ cook enough dinner for tomorrow's lunch.

If you get home starving & snack while deciding what to cook β†’ have 2–3 stupidly easy dinners on rotation.

If your fridge is empty by Thursday β†’ do a small mid-week shop.

If you forget to eat when you're busy β†’ put lunch in your calendar. Seriously.

If you're constantly reaching for whatever's easiest β†’ make the food you want to eat more of the easiest thing to grab.

None of this is particularly exciting. But we're often looking for a big change when it's the small, boring things that make the biggest difference.

Stop trying to be perfect

A good nutrition routine isn't one where every meal is homemade, every macro is hit & you've lovingly meal-prepped 14 identical containers on Sunday afternoon.

It's one that still works when life gets busy.

Some nights you'll have chicken or tofu, rice & veggies. Other nights it'll be baked beans on toast. Sometimes you'll eat birthday cake.

Sometimes you'll realise at 8pm that you've eaten approximately one proper meal all day.

You're not back at square one.

Just make the next decision a useful one.

this month, don’t learn more. Do more.

Pick one thing that repeatedly trips you up.

Not enough protein at breakfast?
No lunch organised?
Afternoon snack attacks?
Nothing in the house for dinner?

Spend October fixing that one thing.

Make it easier. Put a system around it. Practise it until you barely have to think about it.

Then move onto the next thing.

Because you probably already know enough about nutrition to make a pretty bloody good start.

Now you've just got to get your shit together. πŸ˜‰
