BEN COLLINS
Owner | Head Coach | Business Development
Ben opened CrossFit Soul Rebel in March 2011 with a clear purpose, to help people move better, live healthier, and build confidence through fitness. Over the years, Soul Rebel has grown into one of Victoria’s longest-standing and most respected CrossFit affiliates.
Growing up, Ben played a variety of sports, with basketball being his biggest passion. In 2007, he became a personal trainer, chasing a career that aligned with his love of movement and helping others. When he discovered CrossFit in 2010, he was skeptical at first, but after his first session, he was all in. The combination of challenge, variety, and community instantly clicked, shaping his path as both a coach and athlete.
As Head Coach, Ben is known for his technical eye and passion for quality movement. He loves coaching Olympic weightlifting, Gymnastics, and mobility work, and runs workshops to help members develop skill, strength, and confidence.
Ben also leads our Olympic Weightlifting program, having coached several athletes to State, National, and International success in the sport.
When he’s not coaching or programming, you’ll find him refining new ideas to make Soul Rebel the best hour of everyone’s day.
HAYLEY ADAMS
Coach | Member Coordinating | General Manager
Hayley’s passion for fitness started early through her years competing in cross-country skiing at an elite level. After retiring from the sport, she found a new challenge in CrossFit, and quickly fell in love with its mix of strength, skill, and community.
Since then, Hayley has gone on to compete at the highest level in CrossFit. She has represented Victoria at the Under 23 National Weightlifting Championships and competed at the CrossFit Semifinals in both 2024 and 2025, finishing 10th in Oceania.
Around the gym, Hayley is known for her energy, positivity, and genuine connection with members. She’s passionate about creating an inclusive and motivating environment where everyone feels supported, whether they’re chasing their first pull-up or preparing for competition.
As our Member Coordinator and General Manager, Hayley plays a key role in fostering the Soul Rebel community, leading member engagement and planning our social events that bring everyone together both inside and outside the gym.
Jess Quinlan
Coach | Member Coordinating Assistant
Jess grew up as a competitive gymnast, a sport that sparked her lifelong love of movement, discipline, and skill development. After finishing competitive gymnastics, she transitioned into coaching and has spent the last nine years teaching athletes of all ages how to move with strength, control, and confidence.
Her passion for understanding the human body led her to study Sports Science, and in recent years she’s expanded her own training into strength work and cardio-based fitness. Jess discovered CrossFit not long ago, and instantly clicked with the challenge, variety, and supportive community it offers.
Since joining Soul Rebel, she’s been thriving as both a coach and an athlete. Jess recently achieved her first bar muscle-up, a milestone she’s incredibly proud of, and she brings that same excitement and encouragement to the members she coaches.
As a Member Coordinating Assistant, Jess helps ensure every member feels welcomed, supported, and connected. Her blend of gymnastics expertise, coaching experience, and genuine enthusiasm makes her a valued part of the Soul Rebel team.
